In 1985, Joan Belan envisioned building a house on an empty hillside she’d discovered in Iron River, WI. She and her husband purchased the property and they built a beautiful home where they raised their three children. Joan, aka "Mrs. B.", was a school teacher who taught at both the Herbster and Port Wing, WI schools. She loved nothing more than to fill her home with family, friends, food and laughter.

 

Today, Joan’s children and grandchildren have lovingly updated their childhood home and welcome guests from all over the world to “Riverview Ridge”, which was the name Joan chose for her little slice of heaven on earth.
